Candidate Engagement

What is candidate engagement?

Candidate engagement refers to the level of communication and interaction a candidate maintains throughout the recruitment process. It reflects how responsive and interested they are, measured through activities like replying to messages, viewing job opportunities, or submitting applications. Engagement typically occurs through various channels such as text, email, or face-to-face communication.

In staffing, the focus of candidate engagement is to encourage actions like email opens, text replies, job views, or applications.

Candidate engagement encompasses three key areas:

  1. People

Who manages the engagement process and identifies the target audience?

  2. Process

The strategies and methods used to interact with candidates effectively.

  3. Technology

The tools employed to execute, track, and measure engagement efforts.
